About the clinic
The Clinic is a registered Medical Charity working in conjunction with St Bartholomew's Hospital to provide advice on the management and treatment of migraine to patients referred by the GP, Hospital or Company doctor, as well as undertaking research into the causes and better treatment of migraine.
Last year
we saw over 1500 patients at the clinic. Patients from any part of the
British Isles can be seen as long as they are eligible for hospital
referral under NHS regulations. No charge is made to the referring GP.
However, as we are a medical charity our survival is dependent on patients'
donations. We are also happy to treat any patients who wish to be seen
privately.
Although most of our patients live in London and the Home Counties, patients come from all over the UK and the rest of the world. The only limit is how far they are prepared to travel.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Dr
Marcia Wilkinson set up the clinic together with Dr Nat Blau in 1980 in
its present guise as an independent registered medical charity affiliated
with St Bartholomew’s Hospital. She has a long standing interest in
migraine as evidenced by her numerous publications. She became Patron on
her retirement in 1997.

N Blau is Consultant Neurologist at the Clinic and Honorary Medical Advisor
to the British Migraine Action Association. He is joint editor of Continued
Professional Development (CPD) Bulletin — Neurology, Chairman of the
British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and is a committee
member of the Anglo-Dutch Migraine Association (ADMA). Dr Blau has a particular
interest in Cluster Headache, migraine in children and causal mechanisms
of migraine in all age groups.
Dr E Anne MacGregor is General Secretary of the International Headache Society. She has a particular interest in the link between hormonal changes and headaches in women and through her research has delineated menstrual and menstrually related migraine. She runs a Family Planning and HRT clinic at St. Bartholomew's Hospital and is Medical Advisor to the Margaret Pyke Family Planning Centre.
Doctors Blau, MacGregor and Solomon head a team of part-time doctors with a special interest in migraine, who run clinics between Monday and Thursday. They are supported by a full-time nursing Research Sister, a full-time clinic manager, a part-time secretary and voluntary helpers.
